After completing an engineering apprenticeship and qualifying in the production of Commercial Catering Equipment at Stott Benham Ltd of Royton, Simon Hargreaves proprietor moved into the survey and installation of Domestic Fitted Kitchens for a Multi National Kitchen manufacturer which once boasted 26 branches.
After more than 5 years and working his way up to Group Installation Manager a fresh position was taken with a major Work Surface Distributor which involved Sales & Product Development, thus helping bring new worktop ideas to the UK Kitchen Market.
Independent Studios and Furniture Manufacturers Nationally were supplied with Real-Wood, Solid Surface Composite and Acrylic Edged Components, along with Contemporary & Traditional Post-Formed Laminate surfaces.
With a trained eye for detail and over 20 years experience gained in the market from experiencing other business models, Simon & his wife Caroline found there were and still are large numbers of discerning consumers, who really want a complete quality product & service when shopping around for any home improvement.
Having earned the rights to sell the Quality Dutch Keller Kitchens Brand in the Oldham area was the final incentive needed for the couple to go it alone and set up this family business…
With this philosophy in mind, Kaboodle design Ltd was set up in June 2005.
Design and fitting out of the displays took just over 3 months and the Showroom doors opened to our first customers on the 8th October 2005.
